Angela has been an ardent art-maker and art-lover for as long as she can remember. In 2019, she graduated magna cum laude from Duke University with a B.A. in art history & visual arts and a B.A. in psychology. During college, she interned at the Metropolitan Museum of Art Cloisters, where she gave gallery tours to children and was immersed in medieval art. Later in college, she co-curated and designed an interactive exhibition for Duke Libraries on 18th-century Venice. She was also an illustrator for Duke Crux, a journal of Christian thought.
A summer mission trip to Mexico early in Angela’s college career and the lasting friendships she built with the children there sparked a love for the global poor. She loves telling stories both visually and verbally; at Simple Charity, she is excited to use design and illustration to tell stories of hope, redemption, and solidarity.
In her free time, Angela enjoys singing, playing tennis and piano, and painting Orthodox icons.
