summer internship program
You’re invited.
Grow professionally and spiritually in a Christian community of practice.
Atlanta, GA
June 2nd - August 1st, 2025
WHAT IT IS
More than an internship.
Simple Charity’s aim is to transform young adults into people who look more like Christ. And one of the ways we can look more like Christ is by caring for the poor: King Jesus in Disguise.
Based out of Atlanta, Georgia, this 9-week, full-time summer internship program alters interns’ views on what it might mean to follow God‘s call to practice solidarity with the poor in both life and work. In the process, interns learn new marketable skills, improve on old ones, and grow in fellowship with God and with others.
GROW
professionally.
Interns are placed, based on their skills and interests, in 2-3 project teams each. Examples of past projects include charity evaluation research, writing for our blog, social media, graphic design, videography, marketing, audio engineering, creating spiritual formation resources and fundraising.
GROW
spiritually.
Spiritual growth activities include weekly intern- and staff-led Bible studies and devotionals, community service and fundraising projects, guest speakers, prayer sessions and worship nights. Additionally, interns attend a retreat about generosity called a “JOG” (Journey of Generosity) in the GA mountains.
GROW
relationally.
We know how to have fun! Team bonding activities, sports days, game/movie nights, weekend trips, retreats and meals together forge a tight bond amongst all community members.
IMPACT
100%
of our 2020 and 2021 intern cohorts reported that they would recommend this internship to a friend.
It was such a blessing to be a part of the Simple Charity internship this past summer! I came not knowing what really to expect, but God just kept on surprising me with more than I had imagined...I am forever grateful that God connected me with such amazing people and the work He's doing through Simple Charity!
