Andrew Lee

Co-Founder

Andrew is a second-generation Korean-American from Centreville, VA. He graduated from Duke University in 2022 with a B.S. in Economics and minor in Computer Science.

One evening at the family dinner table, he remembers talking about his distaste for food waste and coming up with a campaign slogan: “Eat it up or give it up.” Since then, he started a hunger awareness club at his high school and became more passionate about addressing injustices after reading books like Just Mercy and the Bible. With Simple Charity, Andrew has served as the Duke chapter’s president, summer intern during the inaugural program, and board member. Now as Director of Operations, he has worn every hat in the organization!

In his free time, Andrew loves playing sports (tennis, volleyball, football, basketball, rock climbing… you name it). You can also find him playing piano or learning a new language.
