OVERVIEW
WHY WE TRUST THEM
Many scholars have said that a root cause of the Congo’s internal conflicts and failed institutions is a lack of strong, ethical leadership, which can be traced back to its history of colonial rule.
The Congo Initiative raises up those new leaders, instills in them Christian values, and empowers them to make long-term change instead of short-term relief. In addition, the organization is run by highly educated Congolese leaders, who have in-depth understanding of the local issues and how to solve them.
