Kristi is a sophomore at Duke University, who is interested in political science, French, and journalism. She’s studied French since middle school, and was excited to use the language when visiting Haiti on a missions trip in summer 2018. During her time there, she got to know an 11-year-old girl who shared about her faith and her family experiences with Kristi; the girl’s trust in Jesus and bold worship, despite her impoverished community, encouraged Kristi about the faithfulness of Christ.
Outside of studying, Kristi primarily spends time worshiping in Christian fellowships, dancing ballet, and writing news articles. She spent the summer of 2019 working at the Charlotte Observer, and is an avid podcast listener. She also enjoys running, cooking vegetables, reading, getting lost on long walks, and solving crossword puzzles.
